An 11-year-old girl who was reported missing from Gillingham has been found safe, Kent Police have confirmed.

Katie Gear was last seen in the St George’s Road area at around 8 pm on Saturday, 5 April. A widespread appeal was launched earlier today, urging anyone with information to contact the authorities immediately.

This evening, Kent Police announced that Katie had been located, and officers have expressed their gratitude to the public for their assistance.
