Officers are concerned for the welfare of the 47-year-old man who is missing

Police in Surrey are appealing for help to find a missing man from Oxted who may be in woodland area near where he was last seen. Jacek Tarkowski was last seen heading home near to High Ridge Farm, in Red Lane south of Oxted yesterday (July 23) at 2.30pm, but failed to get there as expected. Officers are concerned for the welfare of the 47-year-old given that he was expected home and not thought to be overly familiar with the area. Inspector Joe Easterbrook said: “We have had a number of officers carrying out enquiries today to look for Jacek but now we need the public’s help to piece together his movements. We believe he could have gone into woodland surrounding the Red Lane area and have officers checking there this evening. “This area is popular with walkers and dog walkers so I would urge anyone who has been there in the last 24 hours to get in touch if they have seen Jacek, or someone matching the description.” He is described as 5ft 8 inches tall, of medium build with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, the same as the one pictured left, with white Polish writing on it, a grey shirt tied around his waist and dark trousers or jeans. Anyone with information should call 101 and quote the reference number PR/45190077553.
