Detectives are renewing their appeals for information and offering a substantial reward as they continue to investigate the mysterious death of a man whose body was discovered in a freezer inside a disused pub.

The chilling discovery took place just over two years ago, on October 15, 2021, when builders working at the former Simpson’s Wine Bar on Romford Road in Forest Gate stumbled upon the remains of Roy Bigg. The Metropolitan Police Service has since launched an intensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
