A 13-year-old boy has been arrested following a stabbing incident on board a bus in Eastbourne, East Sussex. The attack occurred near a Co-op store on Cornfield Road at around 7:40 pm on Saturday, April 5.
Incident Details
According to Sussex Police, a teenage boy was approached and assaulted by a group of other teenage boys while traveling on the number 1 bus service. The victim sustained a stab wound and was rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening, and he has since been discharged.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of attempted robbery and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sussex Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses and are asking anyone with information to come forward. Officers are also urging the public to avoid speculation on social media as it may jeopardise the ongoing investigation.
