In a devastating incident, Malawi’s Vice-President Saulos Chilima and nine other individuals lost their lives when their plane crashed. The aircraft, which was carrying six passengers and three military crew members, mysteriously disappeared from radar shortly after departing from the capital city, Lilongwe, on Monday morning.

Search and rescue teams, comprising hundreds of soldiers, police officers, and forest rangers, scoured the rugged terrain during the frantic search for the missing plane. The 45-minute flight was en route to Mzuzu, a city in northern Malawi.
