Police have launched an urgent appeal to help find a 76-year-old woman who has gone missing from Gravesend and has not been seen for more than 48 hours.
Carolyn Groom was last seen in the Northfleet area at around 9.30pm on Monday, April 7, and has not been heard from since, prompting growing concern from family, friends, and Kent Police.
Increasing Concern for Carolyn’s Welfare
Officers say they are becoming “increasingly concerned” for Carolyn’s welfare and are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that may help locate her.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “We are appealing to the public for help in tracing Carolyn Groom, who has been reported missing from Gravesend. Her disappearance is out of character, and we are very concerned for her safety.”
Description and Known Details
Carolyn is described as:
- White female
- Around 5ft tall
- Grey shoulder-length hair
- Believed to be wearing a dark skirt and sandal-style slippers
Police also confirmed that Carolyn has known links to Rochester, raising the possibility that she may have travelled outside of the immediate Gravesend area.
