Urgent Search Underway for Missing Grandfather with Alzheimer’s in London

An urgent appeal has been launched to find a missing grandfather who disappeared from St Thomas’ Hospital in London after undergoing heart surgery.

Dana Freeman issued a heartfelt plea on social media, revealing that her grandfather, who has Alzheimer’s disease, went missing earlier today. CCTV footage captured him leaving the hospital and heading towards Waterloo train station. The family, devastated and extremely concerned for his wellbeing, is now combing the streets of London in a desperate search.

The missing man is unfamiliar with the area and was due to be discharged from hospital today. He was last seen wearing a check shirt and a dark-coloured cardigan.

Dana said:
“We are absolutely devastated and currently walking the streets of London searching. Please, if you are in the area, keep an eye out.”

Given his recent heart surgery and medical condition, concerns for his safety are mounting. Anyone who spots him or has information about his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the police by calling 999.

The family is asking the public, particularly around the Waterloo and central London areas, to remain vigilant.

Key Details:

  • Last seen: Leaving St Thomas’ Hospital towards Waterloo station
  • Clothing: Check shirt and dark-coloured cardigan
  • Health concerns: Recently underwent heart surgery, has Alzheimer’s disease

Please share this appeal widely to help reunite the family.
