A woman has been sentenced after violently robbing a vulnerable man with cerebral palsy at a Brighton cashpoint.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was withdrawing cash on St James’s Street on 27 October 2025 when a woman approached, asking for money. When he refused, she shoved him to the ground and stole his wallet and bank card during the struggle.
“The victim was left shaken by the attack,” police confirmed.
Calm Fraud After Violent Robbery
CCTV showed the suspect calmly using the stolen card at nearby shops, even buying takeaway food and attempting other transactions.
Quick Arrest and Court Sentence
- Aji Sinera, 30, with no fixed address, was arrested three days later on 30 October.
- She faced charges of robbery and three counts of fraud by false representation.
- After pleading guilty, Sinera appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody.
- On 19 March at Lewes Crown Court, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years.
