The incident, which occurred around 8 a.m. on the A259 at Roedean, prompted a significant emergency response involving the East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, Sussex Police, and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Despite the swift intervention of emergency responders, the woman, reported to be in her 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The shocking incident led to a temporary closure of the road, causing disruptions to local traffic.
