500 tonnes of Rubbish Well alight at Recycling centre

Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers are currently dealing with a fire in a recycling plant on Thornton Road in Edmonton. It’s been reported that Five hundred tons of rubbish is alight at the centre. London Fire Brigade was called out at 2243. Fire crews from Edmonton and surrounding fire stations are also attending the scene. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage. More to follow
