A 61-year-old man has tragically died following a violent incident at Ilford railway station on Wednesday, 4 December.
Jamgbadi appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 6 December, and was remanded in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for 7 January 2025 at Inner London Crown Court.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Attwell, the Senior Investigating Officer, stated:
“We have specialist family liaison officers supporting the victim’s family, and our thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.
“I would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and a 28-year-old man has now been charged and remanded in connection. We are not seeking anyone else.”
British Transport Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Witnesses or individuals with relevant details can contact the police by calling 0800 405040 or texting 61016, quoting reference 699 of 4 December.
