A 61-year-old man has tragically died following a violent incident at Ilford railway station on Wednesday, 4 December.
Jamgbadi appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 6 December, and was remanded in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for 7 January 2025 at Inner London Crown Court.
Police Statement
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Attwell, the Senior Investigating Officer, stated:
“We have specialist family liaison officers supporting the victim’s family, and our thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.
“I would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and a 28-year-old man has now been charged and remanded in connection. We are not seeking anyone else.”

An RMT Spokesman said: RMT is devastated to learn that one of their members who was assaulted working at Ilford railway station on Wednesday, has tragically died.
The Customer Experience Assistant for MTREL was assaulted on Wednesday evening and police announced their death yesterday.
General Secretary Mick Lynch said: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of our member, who died following an attack while at
work.
“The whole union sends its condolences to their family, friends and colleagues at this awful time and everyone’s thoughts at RMT are with them.
“We will keep a close eye on legal proceedings and will comment further in due course when it is appropriate.”
