A 66-year-old woman has tragically died following a devastating house fire on Portsdown Road in Portchester during the early hours of Monday, February 24.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire at around 5:15 AM, with multiple fire crews from across the region rushing to the scene. Despite their rapid response, the woman was later pronounced dead at Queen Alexandra Hospital, where she had been taken for treatment.

Crews from Portchester, Cosham, Fareham, Waterlooville, Southsea, and Eastleigh worked tirelessly to combat the blaze, which had fully engulfed the property by the time they arrived.
