The A13 Eastbound remains fully closed from the Ferry Lane Interchange to the A1306 Wennington Interchange following a life changing crash late on Sunday evening (2 June), with accident investigation work ongoing into the morning rush hour.
What We Know So Far
The collision, reported around 9:00 PM, involved a car and a trailer near Gateway Junction in Rainham, resulting in confirmed casualties and persons trapped, according to initial emergency dispatch logs. The London Ambulance Service (LAS) and Met Police responded alongside fire crews.
Traffic has built up significantly, with congestion now stretching past Marsh Way, affecting routes from Dagenham and beyond. Queues are heavy on approach and drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
“The eastbound A13 remains closed while collision investigators carry out a full scene assessment. We appreciate drivers’ patience as we complete this essential work.”
