An arson investigation has been launched following a deliberate fire in an alleyway on Railway Road, Sheerness, on Tuesday evening.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident at around 5:13pm on 22 April, sending two fire engines to the scene. Firefighters arrived to find a mattress ablaze in a narrow alleyway, with flames spreading to a nearby building’s wooden door frame.
Members of the public with any relevant details are asked to contact Kent Police on 101, quoting the incident location and time. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
