A england/Waleswales/british/”>British Airways pilot has been suspended after exhibiting drunken behaviour while travelling as a passenger on a flight. The incident occurred on May 30, during a flight from scotland/”>scotland/edinburgh/”>Edinburgh to Heathrow.

Disruptive Conduct Leads to Flight Cancellation

The unnamed 51-year-old captain was reportedly disruptive and was described by a source as acting ‘as if very drunk.’ Cabin crew alerted the flight captain, leading to the decision to abort take-off and return to the stand.

Upon returning to The Gatethe gate, the flight BA1457 was met by police officers. Despite her ‘passionate’ resistance to arrest, she was detained, causing a delay of approximately an hour and a half.

Police Investigation Underway

The off-duty pilot was set to operate another aircraft upon arrival at Heathrow but has since been suspended from flying duties. A British Airways spokesperson stated, ‘It would be inappropriate to comment during a police investigation.’
