Boy, 16, Dies After Stabbing at Seaford Railway Station; Teen Arrested on Suspicion of Murder – UKNIP

Detectives from england/Waleswales/british/”>British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a murder investigation after a 16-year-old boy died following a stabbing at Seaford railway station this evening.

BTP said officers were called to the station at around 5pm after reports of a stabbing. Police attended alongside Sussex Police and paramedics, who found a young man with a serious injury consistent with being stabbed. Despite efforts by medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. BTP said enquiries are “ongoing at pace” to establish the full circumstances. The station will remain closed while searches and forensic work continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul stanley/”>Stanley said: “This is a shocking incident which has resulted in the tragic loss of a young man this evening. The investigation remains in the early stages and the station will remain closed while we continue our enquiries in the area. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or the lead up to it, to get in Touchtouch as you may have vital information which could help our investigation.”
