CCTV Appeal After Bus Driver Injured in Sittingbourne Attack

 

Police have released a CCTV image as part of an investigation into an assault and criminal damage involving a bus in Sittingbourne.

The incident occurred at around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, when the bus was stationary at traffic lights on London Road. A man attempted to board the vehicle, and when the driver refused entry, it is alleged that the suspect smashed a window.

The driver was injured during the incident, suffering multiple cuts from shards of glass.

Ongoing Investigation

Kent Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for help in identifying a man captured on CCTV, who they believe could assist with their enquiries.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

“We are asking anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image, or who has any information that may assist, to contact us immediately.”
