A section of Dalston Lane (E8) has been closed in both directions at the junction with Graham Road following a serious police incident in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The incident, shortly before 2am, triggered a significant emergency response. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were seen in the area, and road closures remain in place as of Thursday morning.

Public transport has also been affected, with multiple London bus routes diverted due to the closure. The impacted routes include:

A TfL spokesperson said: “Due to a police incident, Dalston Lane is currently closed in both directions at Graham Road. Buses are being diverted. Please allow extra time for your journey.”

We have reached out to the Metropolitan Police for an official statement and further information regarding the nature of the incident. No confirmation has yet been provided on the cause or whether there are any injuries or arrests.

Ongoing Investigation

Police have cordoned off the affected area, and forensic teams have been seen at the scene. Residents in the area have reported the presence of officers conducting door-to-door enquiries.
