On December 10, 2024, a 16-year-old boy was brutally attacked on John Street in Rochester. The teen had just left his house on his bike to collect a takeaway when he spotted Abdul Kieta trying to climb his garden fence.

The boy tried to get away, but Kieta, along with Orion Parks, Raheem Ruhambira, and a 17-year-old accomplice, gave chase. The gang stabbed the youngster multiple times before fleeing the scene – leaving a knife behind.

Swift police action leads to multiple arrests

The victim managed to reach a nearby off-licence and called for emergency help. Rushed to a London hospital, he was discharged three days later.
Later that day, Parks, 20, was arrested in Dartford, with a machete discovered in his home.

Justice served at Woolwich Crown Court

On October 17, 2025, all four were sentenced for their roles in the horrifying attack:

  • Abdul Kieta: 18-month rehabilitation order for possessing an offensive weapon and wounding without intent.
  • Raheem Ruhambira: Five years in jail plus an extended three-year licence for possessing a weapon and wounding with intent.
  • Unnamed 17-year-old: 18-month youth rehabilitation order for possessing an offensive weapon and wounding with intent.
  • Orion Parks: Two years and three months in a Young Offenders’ Institute for wounding without intent.

Police vow zero tolerance on knife crime

Detective Constable Kati Goldsmith said: “This was a shocking and deliberate attack on a young boy who was simply trying to leave his home.
