Driver Appears in Court After Attempting to Drive Wrong Way on M11

A man has appeared in court after allegedly attempting to drive a car the wrong way down the M11, prompting a police response that temporarily halted traffic.

Shane Parker, 19, of Ellerton Road, Dagenham, East London, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 26, facing multiple motoring and criminal charges related to the incident, which occurred on Tuesday, February 25.

Parker has been charged with:

  • Aggravated vehicle taking
  • Driving while disqualified
  • No insurance
  • Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
  • Possession of a Class B drug
