Driver makes off following hit and run on the A3

Surrey Police are still hunting for a driver involved in a serious accident on the A3 at Esher overnight. The crash between a black BMW and a silver Vauxhall Insignia happened at around 12.15 am on Sunday 23rd July, on the southbound carriageway close to the junction with Copsem. The driver of the BMW left the scene and it’s thought they could have been seriously hurt. The driver of the other car is being treated in hospital for their injuries which aren’t believed to be serious. Anyone who witnessed the collision, or with any other information, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P17185202.
