Gavin Prodger slammed into Lily Lockwood with his Audi A1 on Watling Street at 6.50pm on July 10, 2021, killing the young girl instantly. Originally sentenced to 12 years for careless driving causing death and cocaine possession, his jail term has now been slashed to eight and a half years on appeal.

Shocking CCTV footage showed Lily checking the road carefully as she crossed to meet friends in a park in Stone. But Prodger was tearing down the road at 47mph in a 30mph zone, distracted by his phone as he sent a photo moments before the tragedy.
