Drivers Alert: A20 Road Closures in Sidcup to Cause Minimal Delays Next Week
Drivers planning to travel on the A20 through Sidcup should be aware of two upcoming road closures next week, which may cause minor delays. Though the disruptions are expected to be minimal, with each causing less than 10 minutes of delay, motorists are encouraged to plan to avoid any potential impact on their journeys.
The closures are part of routine maintenance being carried out by National Highways, which is responsible for overseeing major roads and motorways. The affected areas include:
- A20 Westbound: From junction 3 of the M25 to junction B2173, lane closures will occur for maintenance works. The closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. on October 14 until 5 a.m. on October 15, with slight delays anticipated.
- A20 Westbound: From Swanley Interchange to Crittalls’ Corner, lane closures will occur for horticultural works. This closure will run from 10 p.m. on October 15 to 5 a.m. on October 17. Delays are expected to be under 10 minutes.
National Highways advises drivers to be aware of these planned works and to adjust their travel plans if necessary to avoid inconvenience. Smaller local roads will not be affected by these closures.
