EastEnders favourite Patsy Palmer has sparked rumours of a dramatic soap switch after hinting she might be ready to leave Walford behind for the cobbles of Coronation Street.
The moment, while light-hearted, has fans questioning whether Palmer could be serious about leaving Albert Square for Weatherfield.

“I think it’s a shame I can never leave Bianca behind”

It’s not the first time Palmer has hinted at closing the door on EastEnders. Speaking during her Celebrity Big Brother introduction, she opened up about the challenges of being forever linked with the feisty Bianca.

“I think fans might think I’m quite feisty because of Bianca, but I’m not really — I’m quite a calm person,” Palmer said.
“Bianca can’t get her life together. She’s in fight or flight. I’m not in fight or flight.”

Palmer added she now tries to live a more peaceful life, a far cry from the chaotic world of Bianca Jackson.

From Walford to Weatherfield?

While no official statement has been made by the BBC or ITV, the casual soap-talk in the Big Brother house has fans abuzz on social media. Some are imagining Bianca’s iconic “Rickaaaay!” echoing down Coronation Street, while others can’t bear the thought of Palmer leaving EastEnders for good.

Celebrity Big Brother Drama

Palmer’s cheeky comments come amid other drama in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke was removed from the show after a heated row with Love Island star Chris Hughes during a task. While no physical altercation occurred, ITV confirmed Rourke was aggressive and threatening, leading to his exit.

Catch Up

Celebrity Big Brother airs nightly at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
