Tragedy struck at Chestfield near Whitstable on Thursday night when a deadly collision claimed a man’s life.
Head-On Smash at 8.35pm
At 8.35pm on 16 October 2025, a silver Renault panel van heading towards Whitstable collided head-on with a blue Skoda Octavia going the opposite way on the A2990 Thanet Way.

The Skoda driver, a man in his 50s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. The van driver was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Kent Police Seek Witnesses
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are on the case and are urging anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles beforehand to come forward.
