Emergency services rushed to Finsbury Park Underground Station in the early hours of Friday morning (18 July) following reports that a person had become trapped beneath a northbound Victoria Line train.

The incident happened around 12.40am with emergency teams deployed to the station at Station Place in North London.


Victoria Line Services Affected

Although Transport for London (TfL) has yet to issue a formal statement, it is understood that Victoria Line services were disrupted overnight as emergency crews worked at the scene.

Disruption likely affected the northbound service, with delays and temporary station closures expected in the early hours of Friday morning.

Investigation Underway

The British Transport Police (BTP) is expected to lead on the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. CCTV footage and witness statements are being reviewed.

Members of the public with any information are urged to contact BTP by texting 61016, quoting the incident time and location.
