Train services between Ebbsfleet International and Ashford have been suspended this evening following a fire under a railway bridge, Southeastern has confirmed.
The incident was reported shortly before 6:00pm, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently on scene tackling the blaze.
In a statement shared on social media, Southeastern said:
“⚠️ NEW: The fire brigade are attending a fire under a bridge near #EbbsfleetInternational.
❌ Trains are unable to run between Ebbsfleet and Ashford.

No injuries have been reported, but the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unclear.
The suspension is causing significant disruption to evening rush hour services, with passengers urged to check before they travel and consider alternative routes.
