Firefighters from Kent, London, and Surrey have been scrambled to tackle a large fire involving an HGV near  Clacket Lane services. The blaze, which erupted shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, has led to the closure of the London-bound carriageway as emergency services work to contain the situation.

Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service and London Fire Brigade are also providing support as firefighters attempt to bring the well-developed blaze under control and prevent it from spreading further.

A spokesperson for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service stated, “The lorry was well alight upon arrival, and crews are using various firefighting methods in an attempt to extinguish the fire.”
