The first picture has been released of Simon Evans, the 18-year-old who tragically died in a fatal car crash alongside two of his friends in Shropshire last Friday night.
Recently, Simon had been promoted to sous chef at the restaurant where he worked part-time—an achievement he was immensely proud of. He was also enrolled on a college course studying light vehicle mechanics, excelling in his studies.
“Nothing was too much for Simon,” the family said. “He really was a gentleman older than his years.”
Scene of Devastation
Floral tributes now mark the site of the crash along the rural road, where emergency services fought to save lives late into the night. The silver Audi was the only vehicle involved in the collision, but police believe it had been travelling alongside a red Vauxhall Corsa and a black VW Golf, which were not involved in the crash.
Police Investigation Ongoing
West Mercia Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Officers are appealing for any witnesses or dashcam footage, particularly from motorists travelling through the Bishops Wood and Brewood areas around 11pm on the night of the crash.

Inspector Steph Arrowsmith, from the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said:
“We believe the Audi was travelling in convoy with two other vehicles. While they were not involved in the crash, we’re hoping that other motorists may remember seeing the three cars and can provide useful information.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact West Mercia Police, quoting incident reference details from March 14.
The families of all those involved have asked for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.
