A collision involving two lorries, a van, and a car on the Sheernessbound carriageway of the A249 near Bobbing was reported to Kent Police at around 8.25 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7. Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service responded to the scene, where two people were treated for minor injuries. They were both taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
While arrangements are made to recover the vehicles, the carriageway between Key Street and the Bobbing slip road remains closed. A diversion is in place.
The road is expected to remain closed until 3pm to assist in recovery and a clean up of the road surface.
A Spokesman for National Highways said: : The A249 northbound between the A2 and the junction with the A250 Queenborough following a road traffic collision The closure is expected to clear between 1:15pm and 1.30pm on 7 June 2022
Normal traffic conditions are expected between 2.15pm and 2.30pm.
