Taranvir Galsinh, 45, has been locked up for over 11 years after admitting to raping two teenage girls.
Horrific Crimes in Sunderland
Galsinh preyed on a 14-year-old girl, taking her to a hotel where he raped and sexually assaulted her. He paid her for sex and repeatedly attacked her in a car, once trying to strangle her.
He also raped a 12-year-old girl, forcing her into sexual acts in his vehicle, again paying her for sex.
Justice Served at Durham and Teesside Courts
In July at Durham Crown Court, Galsinh pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including:
- Rape of a girl aged 13 to 15
- Two counts of rape under 13
- Intentional strangulation
- Paying for sexual services of a girl (three counts)
- Sexual assault of a child
- Causing a child to engage in sexual activity
- Two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child
- Assault by penetration of a child
Last week, Teesside Crown Court sentenced him to 11 years and three months behind bars. He was also slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and lifetime restraining orders protecting both victims.
