Salisbury Crown Court heard how Kieron Cavanagh had been stopped by officers on the evening of 7 November 2019 as he drove a BMW with one faulty headlight along the A435 from Devizes to Durrington

When the vehicle was pulled over, officers saw that Cavagnah’s phone was open on the centre console of the vehicle and was displaying messages that related to drug dealing.

Cavagnah was detained for section 23 misuse of drugs and during a search, £450 in cash was found in his wallet. He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

When he was told that it would be necessary to search his home address, Cavagnah told officers where they would find cocaine in his home. He was then taken to Melksham custody. When interviewed, Cavagnah admitted to selling drugs for two months. During a search of Cavagnah’s home address, 15 small clear bags of cocaine were found and confirmed during subsequent testing to have a street value of about £500.
