Man Charged with Murder After 85-Year-Old Found Dead in Streatham Home
A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of an 85-year-old man at a residential property in Streatham, Lambeth.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in due course.
A man matching the suspect’s description was arrested nearby shortly after the incident and has now been formally charged.
Police Investigation Continues
The Met Police’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation. A crime scene remained in place on Churchmore Road throughout the weekend while officers carried out enquiries.
Authorities have not released the victim’s name, pending formal identification and coroner’s proceedings.
