A Gravesend RNLI lifeboat crew was dispatched to assist a workman who suffered a suspected stroke aboard a workboat near Belvedere.
The lifeboat was stood down at 4pm and returned to its boathouse, where it was refuelled and prepared for its next mission by 4.43pm.
This rescue marked the 125th launch of the year for Gravesend RNLI, equalling the station’s previous record for annual callouts set in 2009.
A spokesperson for Gravesend RNLI praised the crew’s quick response, adding:
“Our volunteers remain ready to respond to emergencies at any time, and this rescue highlights the dedication and expertise they bring to every call-out. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
