At least three people have been killed and around 20 injured after the Gloria funicular, one of wales/lisbon/”>Lisbon’s most famous tourist attractions, derailed and crashed on Wednesday.
Footage from the scene showed the tram-like funicular, which links downtown Lisbon to the Bairro Alto district, almost completely destroyed as firefighters and paramedics pulled victims from the wreckage.
Casualties
Emergency services confirmed that nine of the injured remain in a serious condition, with others being treated for less severe wounds.
