A major route into Maidstone city centre ground to a halt after a lorry flipped over, causing chaos for commuters.
A229 Shut for Five Hours
The A229 Royal Engineers Road heading into Maidstone was closed between M20 Junction 6 (Running Horse roundabout) and the Invicta Park roundabout after the lorry overturned at around 9.20am.

Emergency services, including police, highways officers, and paramedics, rushed to the scene. The driver received treatment on site before being discharged.
