A major fire has broken out at a block of flats on Collendale Road in Walthamstow, with 15 fire engines and around 130 firefighters currently battling the blaze.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed that the fire is affecting half of a roof terrace on the sixth floor of the seven-storey building, as well as a small section of the roof and a duplex flat spanning the fifth and sixth floors.

High-Rise Response Underway

Two 32-metre turntable ladders are being used as both water towers and observation platforms, providing firefighters access to elevated flames and helping coordinate the operation from above.
