Dartford Crossing: Overnight Tunnel Closures and Diversions Announced for This Weekend

Drivers are being warned of overnight closures at the Dartford Crossing this weekend as essential maintenance, waterproofing and joint replacement works take place between Friday night, 27 June and Monday morning, 30 June.

The planned closures will affect both northbound and southbound routes of the A282, which includes the Dartford Tunnels and QEII Bridge.

Full Weekend Closure Schedule

Friday, 27 June – Saturday, 28 June

  • A282 Northbound (East Tunnel)
    • Closed: 11pm – 5.30am
    • Reason: Joint replacement works
    • Diversion: Via National Highways network

Saturday, 28 June – Sunday, 29 June

  • A282 Northbound (West Tunnel)
    • Closed: 10pm – 5am
    • Reason: Maintenance works
    • Diversion: Via National Highways network
  • A282 Southbound / M25 Clockwise QEII Bridge (Jct 31 to Jct 1B)
    • Closed: 8pm – 10am
    • Reason: Waterproofing works (lane and slip road closure)
    • Diversion: Via Local Authorities and National Highways network

Sunday, 29 June – Monday, 30 June

  • A282 Northbound (East Tunnel)
    • Closed: 10pm – 5am
    • Reason: Maintenance works
    • Diversion: Via National Highways network
