Police Respond to Dog Incident in Swanstead
Essex Police have confirmed that they are on the scene of an incident involving three dogs in Swanstead, Basildon. The situation unfolded earlier today, prompting a significant police presence in the area.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in public. Police have reassured the public that no injuries to people have been reported in connection with the incident.
Dog Injured in Attack
It is understood that one of the dogs involved was attacked by the other two, sustaining significant injuries. Eyewitnesses reported seeing chunks of flesh ripped from the injured dog’s body. The wounded animal has since been taken to a vet for medical treatment.
The two other dogs involved in the incident remain contained at the scene, and appropriately trained officers are continuing their response.
