Gavin Plumb, a 36-year-old resident of Potters Field, Harlow, appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Friday, facing charges related to an alleged plot to kidnap TV presenter Holly Willoughby. Plumb, charged with offences including soliciting to commit murder and incitement to commit kidnap, spoke only to confirm personal details during the hearing.
The prosecution alleges that between Monday and Thursday, Plumb collaborated with a third party to formulate a plan. He purportedly encouraged the third party, who was due to arrive in the UK from the US next week, to carry out the plan. Plumb is accused of assembling a kidnap and restraint kit designed to encourage or assist in the commission of the alleged crime against Willoughby.
