A 30-year-old man has been found dead at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, one of Liverpool’s most historic city centre landmarks.
Emergency services were called to the Adelphi Hotel on Ranelagh Street at approximately 1:30 PM on Friday afternoon, where police officers discovered the body of the man.
Police Response and Investigation
A significant police presence was seen at the hotel, including forensic officers who were observed entering the building. Guests also reported seeing officers at the reception area, engaging with staff and visitors.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said:
“The death is currently being treated as non-suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner. The man’s next of kin have been informed.”
Despite the police investigation, the hotel remained open to guests, with individuals seen entering and exiting the premises during the afternoon.

Historically, the hotel also provided lodgings for passengers departing on the RMS Titanic, many of whom stayed there before their fateful voyage.
