A 33-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a stabbing near Woolwich station on Thursday evening.
No arrests have been made, and enquiries remain ongoing as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

At the same time, a stretch of Beresford Street and Woolwich New Road was cordoned off, though it is not yet confirmed whether this was directly connected to the stabbing.

A police spokesperson said:

“Police were called to a report of a stabbing on Parry Place, Woolwich at around 6.11pm on Thursday, 10 April.
A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening or life-changing.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”

Appeal for Information

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has relevant information to come forward. Witnesses can contact police on 101, quoting the incident reference, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

The area around Woolwich station is a busy transport hub, and police are expected to review CCTV footage and gather eyewitness statements as part of their investigation.
