Suspect Charged After Serious Stabbing Incident in Folkestone

A teenager has been charged following a serious assault that left a man hospitalised in Folkestone, Kent Police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to Foord Road at approximately 3:30pm on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, after reports that a man had been assaulted.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was treated at the scene before being taken to a London hospital. His injury, described as consistent with a stab wound, is not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital.


Arrests and Charges

Following swift enquiries by Kent Police, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday, 1 May.
Later that same day, a 19-year-old man from Folkestone was also taken into custody.

He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 May, where he was remanded in youth detention. His next appearance is scheduled for Monday, 2 June at Canterbury Crown Court.

The 19-year-old man has been bailed and must return to Folkestone Police Station at a later date as investigations continue.
