Man left fighting for his life following Chingford Collision

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a driver was involved in a serious collision with a parked car in Chingford. Police were called to Station Road, opposite Chingford Station, at around 8am on Monday, 16 April, following reports of a collision. Officers attended and found a 73-year-old man with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. At this early stage it is believed that the man was driving a vehicle which mounted the kerb and hit a tree before coming to a stop. No other drivers are believed to have been involved. Officers are particularly keen to trace witnesses at a bus stop outside Mobo bar, who may have seen the collision. Anyone with information is urged to call officers at Chadwell Heath Traffic Garage on 020 8597 4874.
