Motorcyclist Injured after the bridge collapsed onto the M20 Motorway

A motorcyclist in 50s has suffered suspected broken ribs after the bridge collapsed onto the M20 Motorway in Kent. Police closed the M20 in Kent following the collapse of a bridge it’s believed a vehicle may have hit the bridge prior to the collapse. It happened between Wrotham Heath and Larkfield junction just before lunch today (Saturday). Traffic is reported to be at a stand still.Police have advised that the area is likely to be closed to some time and have advised motorists to seek alternative routes whilst they deal with the incident. https:///youtu.be/7f1tzMeXR4g Witnesses have said they felt “lucky to be alive” after the bridge came down shortly after noon on Saturday, in busy traffic at the start of the August bank holiday weekend. Paramedics have been seen treating one person at the scene, surrounded by rubble and twisted railings.
