A 62-year-old motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision on the A36 near Knook on Saturday has been named as Rob Best, a much-loved husband, father and adventurer from Wiltshire.

The fatal incident occurred at approximately 10.30am on 31 May 2025, when a car collided with three motorcycles travelling together on the A36. Despite the efforts of members of the public and emergency responders, Mr Best died at the scene from his injuries.

In a heartfelt statement released by Wiltshire Police, Rob’s family paid tribute to a man who lived life to the fullest:
