New Lifeboat Operations Manager for Hastings Lifeboat Station

Massive congratulations to Sarah Milne, who has been appointed as the new Lifeboat Operations Manager (LOM) for Hastings Lifeboat Station. The announcement came yesterday afternoon following a successful application process.

Sarah Milne has been an integral part of the station for several years and achieved her qualification as Launching Authority back in February. Her appointment to the LOM position marks a significant step in her career with the RNLI.

The LOM is a critical role that helps the RNLI save lives at sea by overseeing the day-to-day management of the lifeboat station, ensuring it is always ready for service. Sarah will be responsible for authorising the launch of lifeboats and providing leadership to the operations team. Her duties will also include ensuring all operational activities are conducted efficiently to maintain the lifeboats and associated equipment in a constant state of readiness.
