A pedestrian tragically lost his life in the early hours of Sunday morning (October 27) after being struck by a car on the North Circular near Edmonton. Emergency services were alerted to the scene at the junction with Meridian Way at approximately 4:35 a.m., where they discovered the man critically injured.
Despite the valiant efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:15 a.m. The driver involved remained at the scene, cooperating with authorities, and no arrests have been made at this time.
A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at approximately 04:35hrs on Sunday, 27 October to reports of a car in collision with a male pedestrian on the westbound carriageway of the A406, near the junction with Meridian Way, N18.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 05:13hrs.
Work is ongoing to establish his identity and inform his next of kin. Road closures remain in place. The car stopped at the scene. No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue. Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD1717/27Oct.
