A pensioner has been rushed to hospital after a violent altercation involving rival gangs erupted at Finsbury Park bus station on Monday evening.

Metropolitan Police were called to the scene following reports of a serious disturbance involving weapons, including a machete and parts of a broken chair. Witnesses described a chaotic brawl during which an innocent bystander — believed to be an elderly man waiting for a bus — was struck in the head with a machete.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service provided emergency treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to a nearby major trauma centre. His condition remains unknown at this time.
