A person has tragically died after being struck by a train at Thornton Heath station on Brigstock Road. The incident occurred just before 8:20 pm yesterday (September 20).
Train services between Streatham and Selhurst were temporarily halted while the situation was dealt with, but the lines have since reopened.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said, “Officers were called to Thornton Heath railway station at around 8:21 pm yesterday (19 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
